This heptagon medal was made in the early 20th century, circa 1920. It features St Georges slaying the Dragon. It is written Sanctus Georgius.
It is signed G Rabier on the bottom. Gaston Rabier was a medallist in Paris circa 1920.
The back depicts a knight’s helmet with a sword and laurels leaves. It is written in latin Eques Equitum which means the knight. There is the cypher of the maker GR and a plain gold tag where a name or a date can be engraved.
